Traveling Leprechaun Contest returns for 2008
Their beady little eyes will be peering out from behind local
store counters and shelves, and those who spot them might have a
chance at winning their proverbial pot of gold.
The Traveling Leprechaun Contest returns again this year
Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25, during Rosemount Leprechaun Days.
Fifteen participating businesses will host the Traveling
Leprechauns. There will be three of the golden statues placed at
three different businesses each day, so people shouldn't stop after
finding just one or two.
People who spot the little guys should have their passport
stamped that can make them eligible for a prize drawing.
Passports will be available at the businesses.
After the contest's final day, people should hand in
passports at a participating business or at the Leprechaun Days
information booth outside the Central Park Shelter during the
Mid-Summer Faire on Friday and Saturday.
Prizes will be awarded to those who turn in passports that
correctly identify the most locations of the businesses where they
found the Traveling Leprechauns.
The prizes will include gift certificates in the following
amounts: $100, $75, $50, and $25.
Participating businesses include:
* Simply Massage,
* State Farm Insurance-Paul Eggen,
* Anderson Insurance Consultants,
* Rosemount National Bank,
* Dakota Awards and Engraving,
* Starbucks,
* Sol 360,
* Rosemount Floral,
* Pizza 'n' Pasta,
